Mustang Baseball - Eagle High School

Message from Coach Deck:

Hello Eagle Baseball Families,

I hope you've had a wonderful summer!  As we prepare for the upcoming fall season, I wanted to reach out and share some exciting details about what's ahead for our program.

We're thrilled about the momentum we've built over the last three years, and this season promises to be even more rewarding. Our team is energized, and we're looking forward to welcoming you and your student-athletes back to Eagle baseball. In three years, we have played in the District Championship twice, winning one in 2024. Last season we were in both the District Championship game and the State Championship game. The future is bright at EHS with several players going on to play at the collegiate level last season.

Strength & Conditioning Program - Weightlifting will kick off the second week of school, meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30–5:30 p.m. in the school gym, with Friday speed training sessions at the baseball field. We strongly encourage all our players to participate—this program builds not only strength and speed but also the camaraderie that defines our team culture. The physicality developed through this training is a key differentiator as players advance through our levels. Shawn Grandmont is our trainer. Payment will go directly to him through his Venmo.  More info and sign up here.

Fall Ball Season - We're excited to field two fall ball teams this year—Varsity and JV—with the possibility of adding a third team based on sign-ups. Games will begin in mid to late September and be played on weekends. Sign-up information will be posted on our website and shared via email when school begins.

Committee Opportunities - Our program thrives because of dedicated parent and family involvement. We're forming several committees this fall, and we'd love your help: We need a leader or two for each group.

Your support in these areas allows me to focus on coaching and developing our players. These committees are truly the backbone of our success.

Open Field Workouts & Facility Access - We'll post a detailed schedule during the first week of school. Most open workouts will begin after school and flow into our strength & conditioning sessions. We also have scheduled access to the indoor facility, and those times will be shared as well. Open field workouts are offered to all 7th- 12th grade student-athletes that live in the Eagle Boundaries or go to Eagle High.

Varsity Tennessee Trip - Our Varsity team was invited to play in the Morgan Wallen One Game at a Time National Tournament from April 1 - 3 in Knoxville, Tennessee. We are excited to represent Idaho and play against some of the top teams in the country including; IMG Academy (FL), Arvada High (CO), Fulton HS (TN), Gibbs HS (TN), Murfeesboro Central (TN), Lincoln Way East HS (Illinois), Glenwood HS (AL), Eagle HS (ID).

Program-Wide Meeting - On August 31st at 7pm there will be a program-wide informational meeting. It will be in the Social Center (Cafeteria) at Eagle High. We'll outline our fall and winter plans and finalize committee assignments at that time. This meeting should answer all of your questions.
